What I love about photography is when you are transported to a moment where you are let inside of someone else. But this guy is just hot!

artsCape Biennial 2010

The Byron Bay artsCape Biennial was fantastic this year. It was great to see people, especially the kids, enjoying and interacting with the sculptures as they walked through the beachfont park along Lawson St. Can’t wait for the next one!

Winter, waves and weekends

We have been enjoying some fun waves and amazing weather this winter. More photos on my Flickr.

Neither Snow

I’ve always loved beautiful handwriting. My mother has incredible handwriting. People are facinated when they see her write. She writes in script, very slowly, forming each letter perfectly. It is beautiful! When I came across this I ran out and bought myself a calligraphy pen and ink to play with this weekend. Mara Zepeda of Neither Snow has studied Copperplate and Italic calligraphy in New York. She can also be found on Etsy.

Lee Middleton

For me, the beautiful thing about Lee’s photography is that she reveals so much of herself through the lens, even more then the subjects she captures. Each picture makes me feel like I know you a little better. You can check out more of her photography here and at Sirocco Cafe & Gallery in Ballina through August.

Kris Lewis

As I begin a painting the subject physically, emotionally and spiritually reveals itself to me.  Each brushstroke speaks to the subsequent stroke, carrying out a dialogue, linking my subject and me as if we were meeting for the first time. I find this uncertainty exciting and embrace the indecisive nature of my work.Kris Lewis via My Modern Mix
